On the occasion of its 200th anniversary, the Brauerei C. & A. VELTINS GmbH & Co. KG is supporting two outstanding students with €10,000 each for their master’s studies. We, as the Weihenstephaner Förderverein für Brau-, Getränke- und Getreidetechnologie e. V. (WFBGG), were involved in the selection process together with the Chair of Brewing and Beverage Technology, the student council, and the faculty. Seonggeun Kim and Maximilian Becker impressed with their excellent academic achievements and strong personal motivation.
The ceremonial announcement and presentation of the scholarship certificates took place on November 6, 2025. With this financial support, the two scholarship recipients gain a reliable foundation for their successful master’s studies in Brewing and Beverage Technology.
Numerous staff members of the Chair, as well as the families of the scholarship recipients, attended the celebration. Prof. Dr. Wilfried Schwab, Vice Dean for Education at the School of Life Sciences, and Prof. Dr. Thomas Becker, Head of the Chair of Brewing and Beverage Technology, also honored the awardees and emphasized the importance of supporting young talent. The support provided by the Brauerei C. & A. VELTINS GmbH & Co. KG and owner Susanne Veltins was described as unique and exemplary for the entire industry.
